Own The Conversation Digital Twin · Public Q&A

Is an image filename enough context for AI?

Image Context for AI · 2026-06-27

A descriptive filename helps, but it is only one signal. Better context includes alt text, a description, topic relationships, captions, surrounding copy and structured metadata where appropriate. A file called “IMG_2487.jpg” says almost nothing. A record explaining that the image shows an AI visibility report for a particular case-study context is far more useful. OTC’s media catalogue is designed to store those searchable descriptions so existing assets can be reused intelligently.
